Every associate I had contact with seemed eager to be helpful, from the moment we checked in!  The employee that checked us in was extremely helpful in arranging for us to have a ground floor room so we would not have to climb stairs.  My wife and I both have knee problems that make climbing stairs quite painful.  We had an enjoyable visit; the attitude of everyone there helped make this possible.  We appreciate the efforts of those who arranged for our group to have a place to get together at night.

We will be back for another visit!

He has played golf since the age of nine and his goal was to play in a professional golf  tournament and one day that Dream came true for him. We would like to recognize the outstanding customer service we received several of your staff members. While staying a couple of days at Tapatio Springs, we had an unfortunate incident happen when we locked our keys in our Land Rover. After several hours and several AAA crews, they were unable to gain access and the next morning we finally hadto have a key cut.

Kristine at the front desk was so nice and helpful, saying she could have one of their staff take us to Haupstrauss and Redwood Avenue where our vehicle was to meet the AAA truck. Frank offered to take us, even though it was at 9 pm, and was so kind as to wait for over three hours while AAA sent a couple of different lock specialist to try to gain access to the vehicle. r don’t know too many people who would not only drop you off, but offer to stay and wait with you the entire time!

Also, please forgive us, but my husband couldn’t remember the gentleman’s name (he believes it was Martin) who at 7:30 am was kind enough to drop him off at the vehicle once again to have the key cut.

And although it took quite some time for our meals to arrive, Bobby was so pleasant and accommodating in the restaurant, it made up for it.
Everyone was so kind and more than willing to help – you must be so proud of your team!

They all deserve a big pat on the back and some recognition of exceeding customer service and expectations. Frank really went above and beyond and we truly appreciate it!

We will definitely spread the word on the wonderful hospitality we experienced while staying at Tapatio Srings!

Fat Tuesday at Tapatio Springs was a huge success from the decorations to the Crawfish Boil and the Pulled Pork. The members and guests had a truly delightful time listening to the Jazz Band played by the Byrd Brains and dancing the night away.

Hello Jack and All at Tapatio Springs,

Rick and I wanted to send one last thank you for the way we were treated at Tapatio Springs. We were there for a full week from October 4, 2008 through the 10th. Even with the dry conditions, the golf was superb. How you carved out 3 beautiful golf courses (especially the Ridge!) in such rough country is truly amazing.

Well done on the room we were in. It was large and very comfortable. We ate breakfast many times and the food and service was outstanding. The server Joe Ann was very nice and told us about your meeting with Vince which is why we’ve sent to you and Jack a Packers cheese head hat!

Everybody, Jack was very friendly in your resort. Your Pro Shop, restaurant, groundskeepers out on the courses all had smiles and friendly hellos.

We actually came to Tapatio so we could compete in the 2008 World Championship Skeet Tournament held every year at this time. We discovered that playing golf turned out to be much more fun than swinging the shot gun at the skeet targets during that week! We will speak the news to our shooting friends about Tapatio because many are Golfers too.

I had to write a review in case there were other people out there (like me) who were reluctant to book after reading the reviews. We booked our room before reading the reviews and I really wanted to cancel afterwards. However, Ike hit and we got busy helping friends and family. We went ahead with our travel plans and I was afraid that our stay would be horrible. IT WAS FAR FROM IT!! We did not stay in a renovated room and it was gorgeous and clean. The king size bed was extremely comfy and the view was beautiful. I truly have no idea what some of the bad reviews are about. If you want to stay at Tapatia, GO FOR IT! I’m so glad we decided to go and we are definitely planning on going back.

We have nothing but praise for this resort. From the moment we arrived we were treated with the best customer service I have experienced in a long time.
The check in was smooth, our room was large, clean, and very comfortable.
The room was on the second floor and as my husband was unloading the trunk one of the staff drove up in his golf cart and helped him unload and carry the bags up the stairs. We had asked for a room on the second floor with a nice view and got exactly that.

We were there on a golf package and had no trouble booking tee times.
The golf was fine. The first time we played it was nearing six p.m.as we were finishing and we rounded the corner to the sixth hole to the sight of thirty deer feeding on the side of the fairway.

The pool area is great and the hot tub clean and hot. There is a workout room, two tennis courts, and we saw people fishing in the stream behind the resort.
The Blue Heron restaurant is very reasonably priced and has lots of choice for lunch or dinner. Wait staff very friendly and willing to accommodate all requests.

The office staff is very knowledgable and helpful in giving advice and directions for sight seeing. They also offer van service to the town of Boerne (about 6 miles away) and into San Antonio for shopping.
I really cannot find anything negative to say about Tapatio. It was a relaxing vacation and we will not hesitate to return.

We just returned from five days at the Tapatio Springs Resort.

We visited for a Stay and Play golf trip. Had a great time. We had read several negative reviews on the rooms — however, our room was one of the ones that has been recently renovated — very nice. Staff was courteous, friendly and helpful. Definitely will go again, but will ask for a renovated room. (It will be great when all the rooms have been updated….)

I’ve been asked many times to respond to reviews of hotels, businesses and even events, but never did. This is an exception for me that i felt compelled to write. The Tapatio Springs Resort, Golf Course, Horse Back riding, hiking, Cycling and more is in one of the most beeautiful locations in Texas and the U.S. Imagine being surrounded by large lush hills, playing golf on a manicured course with multiple personalities. There are 3 sets of 9 holes that are unique and challenging. You certainly won’t get bored, but you’ll love the challenge. It’s very quiet at Tapatio just like you want a resort to be. Rare ducks, deer, and other pleasant to the eye frendly animals seem to appear at the right moment. But the greatest thing are the people working there, from the operator answering the phone, to the housekeepers. It must start at the top because friendly smiles and someone always there to assist you with a smile abounds. I even met the owner who greeted me and my family warmly. I’ve traveled to more than 70 countries in my life. Tapatio will certainly see me often, it’s a slice of Paradise.

Tapatio Springs Golf Resort is Granted Water Permit

The Cow Creek Groundwater Conservation District on Monday issued a permit to the Tapatio Springs Golf Resort to pump 242 acre-feet of well water for irrigation. An acre-foot is 325,851 gallons.

District directors had voted 4-1 in favor of the permit Oct. 14 for the resort outside Boerne, which had requested 412 acre-feet annually for five years.

The board had opposed a longer-term permit but reversed field after the resort complied with a 2006 district order requiring it to meter its wells, file pumping reports and submit a drought management plan.

The permit was issued after passage of a 10-day window to appeal the board vote.

Ringing the New Year In Style at Tapatio Springs

I experienced my first New Year’s Eve Party at Tapatio Springs Resort and WOW! The dining experience was elegant and delicious from the Crab Salad and the Beef Tenderloin to the Banana Foster Crepes Drizzled with Chocolate. The entire Blue Heron Restaurant had a beautiful ambiance to the whole experience with excellent service.

New Year’s Eve Party 2009 – Tapatio Springs Golf Resort

The party followed in the Cibolo ballroom as the Drugstore Cowboys played old time favorite tunes. The ballroom was decorated beautifully by Rene Keel and Tapatio Staff and everyone enjoyed their time from out of town guests to members and residents.

I would like to put my hats off again to all the kitchen staff, servers and personnel for their time and excellent service to making this event successful!

Good day gentlemen.  I just wanted to send you two a big THANK YOU for making our trip so unbelievable.  Our guests had an absolute blast and on the entire way home everyone talked about how great the resort was. The service and staff were accommodating, the golf course is beautiful and the food delicious. Every aspect of the trip was perfect and we have you two to thank.  You have a beautiful place Jack and we were happy you shared that little piece of heaven with us.

Nathan, thank you so much for being our San Antonio “tour guide”.  It is quite evident that you love your city and you should.  It is an absolutely beautiful place and everyone loved the Riverwalk.

Thanks so much again guys and we look forward to coming down for a visit again soon.

I would like to let you know that the stay at Tapatio Springs was excellent from the rooms to the food it was very accommodating.

The company has had Technical Conferences in various locations and I must say that this resort has been the best.

The breakfast and lunch buffet were always prepared in time we did not have to sit and wait on you and I must mention that the service was very professional.

The conference center was very spacious and very accommodating.

The only draw back was the cell phone coverage and I understand that this out of your control.

From me to all of you thank you for all the team work that you all put into making my stay very pleasurable.

January Reviews for Golf at Tapatio Springs Resort

My wife and I had a chance to play at Tapatio on 2/14/2008 and have lunch there, we had a great time.  We were able to come back for 12/29 and 12/30 and stay all night, have dinner there, play golf on 12/30 and 12/31.  We are hoping to make 12/29 – 12/30 an annual event at Tapatio Springs.  Hoping that you get rain and are able to bring back the Couples Golf Tournament in July 2009.

We’ve had a great time each time we have been able to visit.Look forward to coming back.

Oh my goodness, the party was fantastic!  Everything went off as planned.  Paul still cannot stop smiling!  He had such a great time.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your hard work with this party.  The staff that worked on Saturday night were great and I want them to know exactly how thrilled we were with everything.  They were just terrific.  They treated our guests so well.  Everyone remarked at how good the party was, how great the food was, and the excellent service.

Thank you again for everything you did to help make the night a huge success.

My wife and I love Tapatio. We have gone there two times each year for the last 12 years because of the quality hospitality. The food is excellent, the service friendly and the accomodation is very comfortable. We enjoy each of the 27 holes on the challenging golf course. Its just like going home.

We went to Tapatio Springs just before Christmas. We had an excellent time. The service was great, food was excellent and the staff was very helpful. I have been coming to this place for the last 12 years and enjoy it every time. When I think of getting away and relaxing, I think of Tapatio Springs. The golf course is excellent shape and the meeting facilities are everything you would expect and them some.

The rooms are clean and very nice. My whole family enjoyed coming here. I give it an EXCELLENT RATING.

Blue Heron Mascot Spotted at Tapatio Springs Resort

Our Blue Heron Mascot was spotted near the Blue Heron Restaurant and Club on a great Winter Day. Locals took a great shot of this beautiful bird. Great blue herons can be found in the Nearctic and Neotropical regions. During the spring and summer, they breed throughout North and Central America, the Caribbean, much of Canada and the Galapogos. Some populations migrate to Central and South America during the winter months, but do not breed there.

Great blue herons always live near sources of water, including rivers, lake edges, marshes, saltwater seacoasts, and swamps. They usually nest in trees or bushes that stand near water, breeding at elevations of up to 1,500 m. They tend to avoid marine habitats along the east coast and instead live inland.

Great blue herons are the largest herons in North America. They stand approximately 60 cm tall and are 97 to 137 cm long. They weigh 2.1 to 2.5 kg. They have long, rounded wings, long bills that taper to a point at the end, and short tails. They also have very long necks and legs.
